Our priority is the safety of our campers and counselors, while continuing to offer our programming. The COVID-19 pandemic is a rapidly changing situation and, therefore, we ask for understanding and flexibility. If we make changes to protocols and planning, we will use our mailing list to inform you and also post updates here. This summer we will be reducing the number of campers and staff at Country Camp. We will register a maximum of 35 campers per session. Due to this, we will not be offering the junior counselor program this summer.
All activities will be held outside, weather permitting.
Masks are required during drop-off and pick-up.
When inside the Country Camp facility or using the restroom, campers and counselors will wear masks. Windows will remain open to increase air flow.
The line for the restroom will be outside (spaced at 6 feet intervals) and campers will be allowed inside one at a time. The restroom will be regularly sanitized.
Masks will be optional outdoors except for some activities (for example, masks will be required in the sand box and during the music break).
Campers will be assigned to a “pod” for morning craft time, lunch, snack, and other specific activities.
There will be regular hand-washing and sanitizing built into the schedule and supervised by counselors.
Campers will not sing during the afternoon music break. Instead, masks will be worn and campers will learn ASL to the songs (performed at a distance by a counselor).
No visitors will be allowed at camp this summer (no parents/visitors day, even if guests are vaccinated). Parents/guardians will remain with their vehicles at pick-up.
Mildred’s Market will be closed. We will offer order forms and a Mildred’s Market take-home option for eggs and produce.
We will do a temperature check (forehead) at check-in.
Parents/guardians will need to complete a weekly set of screening questions.
If a camper or counselor tests positive for COVID-19 and Country Camp closes to quarantine, we will refund 50% per day that has been paid and provide 3 hours of virtual programming during the days that we are closed.
